Lab Technician

Education:

B.S. Material Science and Engineering (graduating in 2009), University of California, Davis

Biography:

As lab technician/worker, Tammy analyzes the calibrated data and tracks the job flow of the facility. During the summer of 2007, she worked as the Lab Manager Intern which exposed her to developing test procedures and maintenance of the wind tunnel. She has worked for Otech for 4 years and intends to graduate with her Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science and Engineering spring of 2009 from the University of California, Davis.

Her love and interest into engineering developed from watching a PBS program about the Ansari X Prize. Initially she focused on becoming an Aeronautical Engineering major however; she switched due her interests in being part of creating the actual materials to be used to build airplanes, structures, clothing, etc…

Otech has given her the love in pursuing alternative energy sources and hopes to work within the solar industry one day but will continue on to pursue her graduate degree.
