Biography:
Laureen joined the Otech family in 2007 in the hopes of learning about diversity in the Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering fields and becoming familiar with the processes and instruments of the industry. She is an engineer in training, having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam in 2009. Laureen now works for Otech full time as Assistant Lab Manager, analyzing anemometer data to be reported and ensuring smooth flow of tests and their transition from the lab back to each customer.
Laureen’s interest in construction design and engineering is long-standing. Her father, who has over thirty years of experience as a finish carpenter, personally built her family’s house in Malibu, CA.
Laureen’s love of mathematics and formulas has also led to a lifelong passion for music. She sang with the UC Davis University Chorus and loves playing guitar and piano. She was also a song leader with Sierra Service Project, a non-profit Christian service organization with whom she has spent her summers volunteering since she was thirteen years old.
